Autistic Children Study in Mice Infested Trailers in New York City

The New York Post reports in MICE INFEST QNS. SCHOOL that about 80 autistic school kids in Queens, New York City, study and go to school in trailers overrun by mice that leave their droppings on workstations and cabinets where lunch supplies are stored. The Department of Education spokesperson said "pest management had inspected and baited the trailers three times.".

The Post article does not indicate whether the Department of Education intends to take further action such as moving the autistic students to a more sanitary school environment. It is hard to believe that in the United States of America ANY children would be educated under such filthy conditions. All children, including autistic children, deserve much better.
